ECW, Annual Report, 2015
Marion Mahoney, President (January – June 2015)
Eunice Key, President (September – December 2015)
Other Officers:
Betty Kunstmann, Treasurer and UTO Chairperson
Cookie Davis, Secretary
The year 2015 is currently looked upon as a year of change.
Presidency
– After 10 years of faithful service as President of the St. Peter’s ECW, Marion
Mahoney has moved out of state to be near her family. We will always remember her
promptness at starting our meetings on time and the use of the bell to keep us on track. She
was a wonderful leader and will be missed. During the September meeting (even in my
absence) I, Eunice Key, was elected as President of the ECW.
Altar Guild
– We are forever grateful for the years of service from Crystal Pannell but due to her
ongoing health issues, the care of our altar linens and supplies has been absorbed by the very
capable Liz Heimbach. Nancy Long will also assist with the Altar Guild and focus more
specifically on cleaning of the silver. Cookie Davis continues to fill our flower tables with the
handy skill of arranging and providing flowers from her yard, the church yard or various
sources.
New Mission Statement
– The ECW, in September, choose to follow the mission statement of
the National Episcopal Church (over the past years the mission statement of the state diocese
was recited at the beginning of each meeting). Basically, the focus will now be split three ways:
on spiritual growth, outreach and in-reach.
Meals for Rector
– Thanks to the giving nature of Barbara Wisdom who identified a way that
our rector could be shown appreciation for extra efforts during a busy time of ministry. During
the month of December a different ECW representative provided a Sunday meal to go for the
rector and spouse to enjoy at home.
