The metallic paint covering the Christogram appears to be similar to that used during the restoration of the framework sur-
round. A black border has been added around the cross and letters. A nail hole at the center of the cross suggests that
something was once hung there; the brass-toned paint that covers the cross and letters also partially covers this hole. There
is no definition in the cross or letters and it is assumed that the currently visible metallic paint has been applied over an
original gold-leaf that had a more detailed design.
