Today’s loose offering goes to Catherine’s discretionary fund, which she uses to help people in need in this area

Are you interested in knowing more about the Episcopal Church, and possibly becoming an “official” member of this congregation?    If so, please let Catherine know of your interest.   Bishop Johnston will be visiting us on Sunday, June 23th, 2013.

NEXT SUNDAY, APRIL 21, 9:45AM, PARISH HOUSE!  Adult Christian Education will watch the movie “Six Degrees Could Change the World”, dealing with climate change just as Earth Day kicks off the next day about the same subject. Discussion will follow on April 28 at 9:45AM.  Check out the website at churchsp.org about the subject and what you can do to reduce your carbon footprint.

Rev. Sigmund Stribling Ware was the priest here for 30 years, 1888-1918, the second longest ministry behind Rev. Friend.  Cookie has his 1893 diary which has been scanned and uploaded to the website. A series of weekly articles are being written about him and his diary at churchsp.org. This year is the 125th anniversary of his ministry.

2ND ANNUAL “SHRED IT” EVENT, MAY 10, 4pm-5pm.  This is a ministry fundraiser. Use this occasion to clear out old file cabinets, boxes, folders and envelopes containing pay stubs, tax records, bank statements and receipts that have amassed over time.

Suggested donation $5 per bag.

Jesus by the Sea of Tiberias - Duccio
“Jesus by the Sea of TiberiasDuccio di Boninsegna  (1255-1318)

When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, a hundred fifty-three of them; and though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast… This was now the third time that Jesus appeared to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.” – John 21: 9-12,14
