Evening ECW Meeting

Absent: Linda Beck, Mary Ann Betchy, Carolyn Duke, Cindy Fields, Terri Harrison,
Catherine Hicks, Andrea Pogue,
Barbara Wisdom opened the meeting with a prayer.
Old Business:
Barbara reported that the Community Dinner in August was well attended by members of the St. Peter’s congregation, but the Fire House seems to work better for other members of the Port Royal community.
New Business:
The December Community dinner is scheduled for December 13. Caroline Promise, as well as Parks and Recreation plan to support the event. Caroline Promise will help supply presents and a craft table for the children and Parks and Recreation will mail the pictures of the children with Santa. Denise Symonds’ husband has agreed to play Santa, and Phyllis suggested that the children of St. Peter’s might sing a Christmas carol. We are hoping that Catherine will open and close the event with prayers. The menu will include soup and bread. Barbara will prepare chicken noodle soup and Phyllis will prepare tomato soup. Elizabeth will ask the people who came to the bread making retreat to make bread. The Town Council will provide hot chocolate and cookies. Becky Fisher has volunteered to help.
