Welcome to St Peter’s! Our hope is that you will find God’s love present with you in this place and that you will return here often.
Our communion bread is gluten free.
Please join us for coffee hour immediately after the service in the Parish house.
Food offerings will be brought up today during the offertory to be distributed to Caroline Social Services. Thank you for your gifts.
Today is Rogation Sunday. “Rogation” comes from the Latin verb, “rogare,” which means “to ask.” Today we ask God’s blessings on the fields and crops during the Prayers of the People.
Catherine will be in North Carolina this week and will return on Monday, May 13th. Please keep her parents in your prayers this week.
2ND ANNUAL “SHRED IT” EVENT, MAY 10, 4pm-5pm. This is a ministry fundraiser. Use this occasion to clear out old file cabinets, boxes, folders and envelopes containing pay stubs, tax records, bank statements and receipts that have amassed over time. Suggested donation $5 per bag.
Next Sunday, May 12, we will remember the 177th anniversary of the consecration of St. Peter’s . Come hear about the recently discovered 1893 diary of Rev. Sigismund S. Ware who was the priest here from 1888-1918. You can read it online at churchsp.org/sigsdiary.
Next Sunday is also Mother’s Day. Please take the piece of paper in the pew and write one enduring quality of your mother and your name and put it in the offering plate. We will print these in the bulletin next week.
Happy Anniversary – Alex and Nancy Long (May 7)
Saturday, June 1—Bowling Green Clean Sweep. If you have yard sale items you’d like to dispose of, please give Eunice Key a call! The ECW will have a table at Clean Sweep to raise money for ECW mission projects. This is a great opportunity to clean out your attics and basements of unwanted stuff for a good cause.

“John the Evangelist” – Cimabue (1301-1302)
“I have said these things to you while I am still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” – John 14:25-27
