Next Sunday is Souper Bowl Sunday, a national fundraising drive project involving food in conjunction with the NFL . The cans of food and money that you bring will be collected in the soup pots that the children will be passing around after church. Any checks can be made to St Peter’s with Souper Bowl noted on the memo line. The money will go to Glory Outreach in Bowling Green and the food to Caroline Social Services. Last year, our first effort, we collected $286 and 50 food items.
Please consider a donation to the Tools for the Sudan Project. Buy an agricultural or fishing tool from the shopping cart outside the church on the bulletin board or online (churchsp.org/toolsforthesudan) for as little as $10 and support new residents from the north starting a new life in South Sudan & Region One’s own missionary, Larry Duffee.
“Emergence Christianity – Christianity for Our Time?” – Adult Education continues next Sunday, 9:45am in the Parish House. We will concentrate on the works of Brian McLaren whose book A New Kind of Christianity articulated ten questions that are central to emergence.
