The Vestry began to discuss plans for the 2018 Stewardship Campaign at the June meeting. The members of the Vestry felt that it was important for the campaign to finish in early October in order to allow sufficient time for the preparation of the 2019 budget. The campaign, therefore, began on Sunday, September 16 with the distribution of the pledge letter and a brief talk by Catherine. Because the campaign coincided with the Season of Creation this year, Catherine urged the congregation to think about the themes of abundance and gratitude as they planned their pledges.
On September 30, Helmut Linne von Berg, the Senior Warden, spoke about the importance of planned giving as part of each member’s commitment to St. Peter’s. The campaign ended on October 7 with everyone taking a handful of daffodil bulbs to plant as a reminder of the themes of the Season of Creation and the stewardship campaign.
