Old business:
Mittens and mufflers:
The mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves that the congregation collected filled a big box. Cindy will take it to Social Services in Bowling Green for Caroline Promise.
Community dinner:.
It will be on Saturday, February 4 from 5:00-7:00. We can give out flyers to publicize the event at the Food Pantry delivery the preceding Wednesday. The menu will be-
·chili (with grated cheese or sour cream)
·salad
·cornbread
·cookies and brownies for dessert
· tea
· water
Cindy will shop and give everyone the cornbread mix in advance. Barbara and Stanley will cook. The men will clean up (we hope!)
Basket:
Fred Pannell is going to give Catherine the name of an elderly person for whom we can prepare a basket. Carolyn mentioned an elderly man we might do a basket for around Valentine’s Day.
Gift tree:
We are going to get some of the gifts for the Christmas family the church has chosen.
New business;
Our next meeting will be Monday, January 9. We thought it would make sense to go in alphabetical order for hosting so Linda will host the January.meeting.
We closed with a prayer by Catherine.
