We welcome you to St Peter’s. Our hope is that you will find God’s love present with you in this place and that you will return here often to worship.
We thank Marilyn Newman, Helmut Linne von Berg, Brad Volland and the choir for sharing their musical talents with us today.
Alleluia! Welcome back the alleluia! Alleluia comes to us from the Hebrew language, and it means “Praise Yahweh.” Traditionally it has been understood as the chief term of praise of the choirs of angels as they worship around the throne of God. When we say Alleluia, we remind ourselves that the Kingdom of Heaven has drawn near as we gather to worship and to praise God with joy in this season of Easter.
Are you interested in knowing more about the Episcopal Church, and possibly becoming an “official” member of this congregation? If so, please let Catherine know of your interest. Bishop Johnson will be visiting us on Sunday, June 23th, 2013
Food Drive next week. Please bring nonperishable food items to help the many families in the area who can’t go out. The donations will be brought to the altar as part of the offering.
Adult Christian Education will next meet on April 21 at 9:45am to consider climate change watching the movie, “Six Degrees Could Change the World”, just before Earth Day on April 22. Discussion will follow on April 28.
