Christ the King Sunday – This is the last Sunday of Ordinary Time just before we begin Advent. Christians have long celebrated Jesus as Christ, and his reign as King is celebrated in Advent (when Christians wait for his second coming in glory). Christ’s kingship is one of humility and service.
Christmas candy for Peumansend Creek Regional Jail. Your donations of hard candy, individually wrapped, and small plastic snack bags would be greatly appreciated. The Evening ECW and the youth will put the bags of candy together and deliver them to the jail. Deadline Dec. 17, 2012

Adult Education, Sun., Dec. 2, 9:45am – Handel’s Messiah in Advent. We will read and discuss the Bible selections that form the background for Handel’s treatment of the Christmas portion of the Messiah. Then we will listen to the work on video/CD. A holiday tradition!
